So the egg (to be all technical – fallopian) tubes feeds into the uterus, beyond the vaginal opening. The egg tubes vary in width along their length from about half a centimeter (0.5 cm) at the narrowest point (opening up into the uterus) to a huge 1-2cm at the widest point near the ovaries. Why is that huge? Well a human egg is a mere 0.1-0.12 cm wide so if needed you could probably fit up to ten eggs down it at one time. Plenty of room for a single egg to pass!
