• Question: what came first, the chicken or the egg?

      Well, the egg in general came first. We have uncovered a lot of fossil evidence which shows that dinosaurs grew from eggs, and as dinosaurs existed before chickens, we can say that the egg came first. The question of whether the chicken came before the chicken egg is trickier, as the chicken evolved from a series of mutations which made it into a separate species. While these mutations were occurring the egg could have been changing as well, however I think it’s fair to say the egg came first again.
