I suppose the origin of the answer is in the big bang where there was initially hydrogen. Hydrogen molecules then fused together (under a whole new world of science called nuclear fusion) to make helium, this produces lots of energy which can be converted to light, making the first star. So every element that we’re made from, apart from hydrogen, originally came from stars. I suppose this is why it’s claimed we’re all made from stars.
