Hi Louiser – that is a hard question to answer as evolution usually acts over long period of time and is often a gradual process. A driving force for continued evolution would be some sort of selective pressure however humans have been extremely good at getting round such problems via tool use and changing our environment to our needs – at a very basic level think farming and growing our own supply of food . One aspect that intrigues me is whether or not our brains are continuing to evolve! One selective pressure that you easily imagine is our ability to use modern tools which include the computers, tablets and touch screens that are becoming increasingly a part of our everyday lives.
