Question: Why don't we remember everything thats happened in our lives?

  1. Our brains are excellent at filtering all the information that they receive and judging what is worth paying attention to. As far as we know (and we’re far from understanding everything about memories), some information that our senses send to our brains is just judged not important and so is never converted into memories, at least not long-lasting ones.
